Developing social skills and team work

As a class we are very competitive and often spoil games outside because we can't loose without getting angry with each other. So we decided to brainstorm ways that we could get better at playing together and supporting each other.

We have a board games slot of 45 mins once a week. The aim of this is to practise getting along with each other while playing games. We are getting better. We are even going to have a chess tournament later in the term.

  1. Good afternoon. When I take some children at lunch time to play games. We focus on playing fair and learn how to be a good loser. To me,it's how you play the game that counts.I guess that also applies to inside games.Maybe you could teach me how to play one of your games?
