Manuhiri visiting today

Today we had a visit from Minister Megan Woods to release the new Digital Blueprint Document. We welcomed the rōpu on with a mihi whakatau and then heard all about the new document and how it will help us as digital citizens. We also had a few minutes for some photos. Take a look.

  1. Wow Ruma Toru, you are lucky to be involved in such an event. I think that you are probably well on your way to being digital citizens with all that you do around digital technology and blogging is an important part of that. It's great that Minister Megan Woods knows this about you. What do you think is the most important thing that you do in regards to the work you do with digital technology that other schools should do as well?
Keep up the great blogs, my class and I are really enjoying reading them. :)

    Tēnā koutou Ruma Toru,

It was a privilege to attend this very special event at your wonderful school. I was honoured to hear your skilful waiata, and to see the Blueprint released in such an important place. You should be proud of the important mahi you are doing to become digital citizens, and of Hornby Primary School for being a part of the Manaiakalani Outreach programme.

There’s plenty to do to, now and in the future, so that all New Zealanders – just like you – can thrive in the digital world. By working together we can do that, and I know you will all play important roles in New Zealand’s digital future.

    Ngā mihi,

    Paul James
    Government Chief Digital Officer
