At our whānau hui last week we were discussing giving whānau the chance to come into school and share their expertise if they felt they were able to contribute to some of our kaupapa. We had one mum Whaea Sam who was happy to come and join our kapahaka practise and give the tamariki a few performance pointers. We have a performance on Thursday night and so are in the process of getting our bracket to the point where the tamariki feel proud to share what they have learnt with the community. Ngā mihi Whaea Sam.
Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to our blog. We are a small reo rua (bilingual) class of year 4-6 tamariki in Ōtautahi. Our blog is a way that we can share our learning with the world and it gives our tamariki an authentic audience. It is also a place for us to trial new and exciting technology. Please leave us a comment and follow us if you want to see more of what we are doing. Mauri ora

ReplyDeleteI liked the way that you have added a photo on this blog post I like this because I know what you are talking about and I can get the picture in my head of what you are doing. I also like this because you have put some writing in your blog post.
You brought me back to when I was doing a song at the end of year with my class and lots of people were watching. The part that I liked was the how you said you were nervous before you are preforming on stage. The facts you have used are really good because they have impact to me and other readers reading this blog.
Next time, you could add some more writing so that people want to read it rather than just scroll right past and not write it. You could also add some more pictures than just one so that people want to do that aswell and you can inspire them aswell. I would just like to say good luck on stage and I hope you do well.
What made you do a blog post on this?
Why did you want to go on stage?
Bye Zack from Yaldly

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea because it can help kids get some awesome tips especially since the adults will have jobs and know what to do once you get out of university and on your own and things.
In my class we had something similar like this, except our parents came in to check out our work and ask us how we were going and then give us some tips with our work. In my opinion it really helped me with work and I felt like I was doing the absolute best I could.
This was an awesome blog and an awesome idea.
Keep up the great work.
